Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Portal 2 is coming, hell yeah!

As I was finishing my dinner, my iPod touch pinged. An email had arrived. I surreptitiously read it, and hit the roof. Everyone knew it was coming, but it was incredible to finally have confimation: Valve have announced that Portal 2 is coming. More details will be found in the April issue of Game Informer, as the cover has just been revealed, and according to the site, the issue will contain details of Portal 2′s “new gameplay mechanics, storyline, and some surprising new twists”. Yeah. Awesome! The covers seem to show portals in a forest, and some wreckage through a portal. My guess is this game is set just after the first game, what with Portal getting some updates including a new bit of the ending earlier this week. Anyway, as with most announcements, more news to follow (once we have it).
[UPDATE]
Hot damn, looks like details are leaking already! G4tv.com’s Patrick Klepek dug up this fascinating information from the Gamestop website:

“Coming this holiday. Portal 2 is the sequel to 2007′s Game of the Year and draws from the award-winning formula of innovative game play, story, and music that earned the original over 70 industry accolades. Features single and multiplayer co-op modes. The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game. The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.”

So, a holiday release, multiplayer/co-op, larger areas, more GLaDOS, and a separate co-op campaign! This games gets more awesome by the second!
