Lord of the Rings: War in the North announced

Warner Brothers Interactive have announced a multiplayer action RPG based in JRR Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings universe, for 360, PS3 and PC, developed by Snowblind. Apparently, it ‘advances the RPG paradigm’ through ‘innovative online, interdependent co-op play for up to three players who form their own Fellowship to fight Sauron’s forces in the North.’; an area not much explored in the films. But that’s enough quoting from the press release. The long and the short is , it’s a game set in the Lord of the Rings universe that has the potential to be quite good (although considering some of the choices they’ve made with the IP recently… LotR Conquest, I’m looking at you…). There’s a teaser after the break, for some pre-rendered fun. Still, this has the potential to be a rather good game, and as a Lord of the Rings fan, I’m rather excited!
