Atari Classics Coming to Good Old Games

Submitted by on March 25, 2010 – 10:28 amOne Comment

After teasing the announcement of a new studio releasing games on Good Old Games last week, we now have the official announcement that Atari is that developer, and they will be releasing serveral classic titles from their vaults onto the Good Old Games service.  Some of the hinted titles are Masters of Orion, Masters of Magic and Outcast.

Also, this would probably mean that we can get some classic Microprose love on the site as well, as Atari owns most of the Microprose back catalog, hopfulling letting me play some M1 Tank Platoon all over again.  or Gunship 2000.  Mmmmm, Gunship 2000.

Gunship? Meh… MOO, yes! (although I still have my original CD install of it). Tank Platoon was good too, but that one I only have a 5 1/2″ and probably don't have the keyboard overlay anymore, in one piece.
