I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Flower Half Off Valentine’s Day Only

Submitted by on February 14, 2010 – 3:18 pm3 Comments

Yesterday’s offer of Fl0w for free was sweet, but this is even sweeter. Today only you can buy Flower, thatgamecompany’s beautiful and atmospheric tilt-driven game for half off. That’s USD$5 to you and me.

As a fan of Fl0w, I bought Flower back when it was released and still adore it. As you might guess it’s also family friendly. So go on, give your significant other Flower this Valentine’s Day. To celebrate it, I’ve included a fan-made trailer that Sony recognized on the PlayStation Blog some time ago.

And just in case you can’t get enough Flower, you can now buy a dynamic theme for USD$2.99 as well.

I just can't spend $3 on a dynamic theme. (Cut to Future Me spending $3 on a Mappy dynamic theme.)

Nice job putting Flower on sale though. It is good stuff, but, frankly, $5 is about where it should always be.

Yeah definitely a great game at $5, and yes I did pick it up, and played through the first 'level'.

I picked it up on sale (thanks for the tip) and my daughter and I have really been enjoying it a lot. The controls took some getting used to, but now I'm zipping around mountains and valleys in the second stage at top speed and popping buds open right and left. What's frustrating is if you miss a flower and don't go back, it can be very challenging to find it again.
