Fallout: New Vegas Gives Us A Tease

Submitted by Joe Haygood on February 7, 2010 – 7:25 pmComments

When Fallout 3 dropped in 2008, it was a huge hit for Bethesda Softworks.  The game went on to spawn five DLC packs, and now a new game from a different developer under the watchful eye of Bethesda.  Yes, Obsidian Entertainment has been brought in to realize the city of Las Vegas, as seen in the Fallout world.  This should end up be rather interesting, as Vegas is one of those cities that is run totally different than any other city in the world.  It is full of glitz, lights, drama, and entertainment.  Oh, and don’t forget the prostitution (yes, it is illegal in Clarke County, but not after the bombs dropped I bet).  Somehow, they have to work in Tom Jones and Wayne Newton, as they are Las Vegas icons.

With the official announcement of Fallout: New Vegas, we also got the three platforms, Games for Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, that the title would release on, as well as a teaser trailer.  Hit the jump to watch the trailer.  Yeah, there is not much there, but we get Ron Perlman’s dulcette tones.

I won't be ready for more Fallout for at least five more years, and I didn't even play the DLC packs. There was something about that game that just didn't click for me.
