Aeropodcast #122: The AeroGodcast

Submitted by on February 28, 2010 – 6:50 pm2 Comments

This week on the Aeropodcast, we take a look at religion and how it is used in video games.  Specific examples range from Little King’s Story, to Jade Empire, Dragon Age: Origins and even Mass Effect 2.  It was interesting to see that neither myself or Fourhman necessarily upset with religion being in games, as long as it has context.

We also have a little fun with some of the lesser known religious titles that have been created in the past for gamers, including Left Behind, and the ever popular Bibleman.

As always, the podcast is mixed together by our very own Stephen “DJ Yella” Munn and his very own wheels of steel.  Our bumper music, Droid Girl, is provided by Lazyitis, so make sure to visit their MySpace page.

Download the podcast from here or subscribe to the podcast using one of the services below.   Also make sure to review us on iTunes and visit our new Facebook Fan Page.

as an atheist myself I really don't care about religion in gaming as long as it fits into the context of the game but if a screen pops up that says convert or die or something similar i am going to shove the game up the devs ass.but as far as mass effect goes I really like how it fit into the story line.

Keep it out. Religion is ALWAYS annoying and ALWAYS a problem. If you don't believe it, it's just a reminder of the steaming pile of space-magic crappola your friends and family accept…and who needs another of those?
