The USS Normandy Is Landing at Midnight
Well, after a long two years, tonight will be the first available moment for those of you in the general public to sit down and continue the adventures of Commander Shepard in Mass Effect 2.
Not content with waiting until tomorrow when the stores will be open at a normal hour, Gamestop and several other outlets are staging midnight launch events for Mass Effect 2, allowing people to start their adventures at the early hours of the morning.
I am not going to lie, as I will be at my local Gamestop, picking up a copy of Mass Effect 2 (problems have delayed my review copy, and I cannot wait), so I hope to have some photos of the event along with some crowd feedback. My copy should show up around noon. As of 2AM, it's in Louisville, KY. Oh, Amazon. Your release date delivery rocks.
I already put in a couple of hours into ME2 after the midnight launch. Really good stuff so far. The decryption and safe unlocking mini games are a little bit harder than the original Simon styled color button pushing.
All of the sudden at work, I am feeling a sore throat and sinus issues. I might have to stay home sick tomorrow and get myself better…..cough, cough, sniffle.
I wish I could do that with school tomorrow, but I better not considering it's the first day of our new semester. Maybe I can knock out the whole game in one day!
