nmh-struggleThe future begins now with a handful of high-profile Nintendo releases! I’m in for No More Heroes 2, believe it. What’s on your buy list this month?

January 12
Wii – Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces may be a cipher until you realize it’s WWII dogfighting with an arcade feel, based on an anime. NOW the title makes sense!

DS – Sands of Destruction is a Sega-published turn-based JRPG from the makers of Grandia and Xenogears.

January 13
Wii – Data East Arcade Classics challenges you to name a suitable number of Data East games that could rightly be called retro classics. Um, Bad Dudes?

January 18
DS – Glory of Heracles brings a storied Nintendo-published game franchise out of Japan for the first time.

January 19
DS – KORG DS-10 Plus is another installment of the name brand music synthesizer, now with Plus.

January 26
Wii – Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars arrives on our shores with multiple new characters over last year’s Japanese release, including Dead Rising’s Frank.

January 28
Wii – No More Heroes – Desperate Struggle was briefly rumored to be a DS game thanks to the subtitle! Travis Touchdown’s second appearance looks like a smartly refined sequel.

January 31
Wii, DS – LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 was rather inevitable. And the Years 5-7 sequel will be incredibly inevitable.

WiiWare – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is now a GBA game turned into a DS game turned into a WiiWare game.
