Well, by the above picture at least his kart is anyways. This has become an all too common sight at all the local retailers. Every where I turned there are shelves upon empty, soulless, dust-collecting shelves where copies of Mario Kart Wii are supposed to be. A scouring of the InterTubes shows no mention of a new release, a re-release, or even an un-release. As all gamers know too well Nintendo keeps its cards closer to its chest than even Apple. For a game that is almost two years old and still selling consistently, one would expect that the title should be relatively easily to come by, just like New SUPER MARIO BROS Wii. Maybe all those Wii’s from the holiday season are finally getting something else beside the pack-in. Probably not. Maybe, Nintendo’s going to sneak out an updated version that supports the Balance Board, for sitting on and leaning for even tighter turns; or maybe the Motion Plus. Hey, they got to find some way to move those money-printing peripherals; but, alas I doubt it. Maybe I’ll just order it from Amazon.
