Here’s some Play-Asia coupon codes for you (if you hurry)

ouendan-redMy latest order through Play-Asia.com was split into multiple orders, so I have a surfeit of discount codes that I will not be using (they toss one into every box they ship). I’m passing the savings on to you.

Here’s three codes that will subtract $5 from your order upon checkout. These codes are first-come, first-served, and they all expire within a month. Each code will only work ONCE, so act fast! Also, there’s a minimum order requirement of $50… but come on, you’re importing! Of course you’re spending at least $50!

VQ-EOD-DVF – expires January 23, 2010
KR-RMB-PCY – expires February 5, 2010
DA-NTC-HBJ – expires February 14, 2010

I make no guarantee that these codes will work by the time you personally get to them! Such is the benefits of your Aeropause.com fanship. Good luck, gentle importer.

After the jump I have listed some items I personally recommend. Enjoy!

Katamari Damacy Tribute Original Soundtrack: Katamari Takeshi – Around $33, this is a two disc set with over 25 tracks. Here in the west, we know this game as the summer’s PS3-exclusive Katamari Forever. This is a great soundtrack, featuring new j-poppy music but also remixes of songs from previous Katamari games.

Kingdom Hearts Original Soundtrack – For $34 you get two discs and 76 tracks from this PS2 great, including multiple versions of the awesome Japanese version of “Simple and Clean.” Hikaru Utada also recorded that song in English for the western release, but the Japanese version is better.

Animal Crossing: City Folk Original Soundtrack – About $25… one disk, 39 tracks. The AC music has not changed much across three generations of releases, so if you liked any of the games, you’ll like this soundtrack.

Zero: Gesshoku no Kamen (Nintendo Wii) – About $70 gets you an imported Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which will likely never be released for the Wii outside of Japan. But how will you play it on your region-locked Wii console, you ask? I’m in contact with fans working on the SD card patch that will enable this game to play on a Wii of any region and it is so, so close to release. They’re currently playtesting the final code and hammering out bugs.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (Nintendo DS), Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 (Nintendo DS) – About $50 apiece, these remain amongst the finest DS games ever released. Especially if you dig j-pop. Very import-friendly… there’s only a few Japanese-language menus you’ll have to navigate.

Buy New Pokemon Castle Candy Toy Figure at Play-Asia.com – Play-Asia always has plenty of these to browse… $2 to $6 blindboxed toys, some that come with candy. This link happens to be a collection of Pokemon building kits, but you can find collectables (sound drops, gashapon, cellphone charms) for any gaming/anime brand under the sun. Kirby, Mario, Soulcalibur, Monster Hunter, Dragon Ball, Evangelion, you name it. These tend to run out quickly, though, so if you want to grab some of a particular series, you have to order right away.

The Legend of Zelda Stuffed Toy: Link – It’s Wind Waker Link, in plush form! $20 and you’re labelled a Celda-loving Nintendo fanboy for life. Adorable. Also available: plush Professor Layton!

And don’t overlook the game bargains and toy bargains sections, where you can sometimes find some nutso discounts, like this plush Mr. Toilet.
