You’ll never again mix up Blue Toad and Yellow Toad

mario-controllersPeripheral maker Penguin United now has a Wii Remote controller grip package targeted specifically for New Super Mario Bros Wii: The “4 in 1 Control Brothers.”

For $19.99, you get four two-tone Wii Remote grips, perfect for identifying who is Red Mario, who is Green Luigi, who is Blue Toad and, ahem, who is Yellow Toad. (EDITORIAL: Because we dare not have included Peach, Daisy, Wario or Waluigi in this fershlugginer game, right Miyamoto?)

Naturally, the Control Brothers leave all the buttons and IR port accessible… even the B button, which NSMBW stupidly does not use. MotionPlus and Nunchuk owners will have to do some unplugging, however.

In a world where every crappy sports release gets an ill-conceived Remote shell, it’s nice to see an actual game get some awkward peripheral love.
