OK, I’ll keep this short. Torchlight is £3.49/$4.99, depending on where you live, on Steam (for the next seven hours, sorry for not mentioning this sooner). At this price there is no excuse not to buy this great little game. Buy it, and buy it now! And for those of you who don’t want to take advantage of this insane offer, there are new deals rotating every 24 hours!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've been on the fence for a while now, but for the price of $4.99…. well, it would have to be as bad as ET on the 2600 not to be worth it!

Rats! Too bad I'm wayyy late on this one. According to CNET, Torchlight is one of the best games to play on a Netbook (which I just got for Christmas). I really need to download Steam, I suppose, even though I won't be able to play most games.

The next minute, you are trying to find ways to be creative with your finances to keep your Steam habit going. I think I have bought one thing each month through their specials, and the end of the year deals are just killing me. How do you not buy the Eidos pack for $50, or Zombie Driver for $2.49.

Yes Torchlight. I have a lot of Doctor Who on the brain right now, as BBC America showed both the Water on Mars and End of Time Part 1 Doctor Who specials on Saturday night. They were so good. The Water on Mars one showed us a rather dark and dangerous Doctor. And what the hell is up with Gallifrey. Not to give the ending away, but what is that all about.

I downloaded the Torchlight demo and it actually runs quite smoothly on my Netbook. If I wasn't already setting my cash aside for Q1 2010's games, I'd highly consider picking it up.
