PC World has put together a great list of the top twenty ups and downs from the last thirty years of mobile gaming.  Some of the great stops along the way include tne sidetalkin’ N-Gage, the Wonderswan, all the Gameboy iterations and the above pictured Milton Bradley Microvision.  The slideshow is really well done, and covers pretty much all platforms.

Head over to the PC World site to see all 20 choices

Great Gameboy iterations should not include Gameboy Micro. I remember commercials for that thing, and then it seemed to disappear forever.

They launched at like $80 or so, but dropped quickly to $50, I assume due to lack of sales. Still, new ones still sell for $50 or more on eBay. I never got one because it had no backwards compatibility, but part of me has always wanted one just because they look so slick. I imagine GBA games look nice on a smaller screen.
