Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Dated and Drawn

Submitted by Paul Munn on December 4, 2009 – 4:48 pmView Comments

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker got its release dates on the PlayStation brand’s 15th birthday. That’ll be March 18th, 2010 for Japan, March 28th for the UK (EvilAvatar), and wouldn’t you know it the US gets it last, almost two full months later on May 25th (again, EvilAvatar). I’m still smarting from having rage-sold Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops since it’s not on the PlayStation Store yet and online shops have new copies bid far too high — over $120 on Amazon last time I looked, and this game has me interested, especially if it works nicely with Adhoc Party on the PS3. The above trailer from September of this year, seen here on the Escapist, does indeed remind us of what we like so much about Metal Gear games.

SiliconEra, however, noted something more droolworthy than an unfinished Metal Gear Solid game. It has pictures of two white PSPs, one with Hideo Kojima’s autograph on it, the other with Metal Gear artist Yoji Shinkawa’s signature and a drawing of Naked Snake on the back, made to celebrate the PlayStation brand’s 15th birthday on December 3rd. Click on through to their site to see how to win them, but I think it might be a Japan-only kind of contest. Snaaaaake!
