Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands announced

image001 Ubisoft has announced that there’s a new Prince of Persia game in development, slated for release May 2010. It’s another in the Sands of Time series (the “original” story, as it was before the last game) and will (apparently) “feature many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations,” which sounds like “It’ll be the same game but with some new gimmicks”. They haven’t said much more than that, but they say to watch the website, which at the moment is telling us to tune in to the Spike VGA’s for a WORLD EXCLUSIVE, along with the silhouette of the Prince. Guess we have to wait for any solid news, but as a fan of the Sands series, this sounds great!

    It sounds like it will be a full tie-in for the movie that is coming out next year. Look for the game to star a digitized caucasian male leaping around like crazy, who looks eerily similar to Jake Gylenhall (or however it is spelled).
