Aeropodcast #108: The Day The Music Died

Submitted by Joe Haygood on November 15, 2009 – 8:06 pmComments

djheroboxThis week, some guy that says he is Koss, returns to the podcast to join Fourhman and Joe to talk up the latest NPD numbers.  Yes, we look at Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, basketball titles and the success (or lack thereof) of musical titles this month.

Also, how does a little title like Halo ODST keep its numbers looking sharp from its stellar debut.  Also, we head off on a few tangents about TV, reviews at work, and of course Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

This week, we have some new music brought to you by the sounds of Alan Paz and his band, Lasyitis.  The title of the track is “Droid Girl”.  Still the same, and mashing it all together as he does each week is our mixologist, Stephen “Han Solo shoots first” Munn.

Now I totally have to call in with a "special" voice mail. I can't wait. :)
  • Alright Fourhman, I'm glad you like the fact that I chronologically buy my games.... but your kind of scarying me. YOu keep the T-shirt, send me Lego Rock Band. 3 a.m.? I want a free game, but that is EARLY!

And great to hear DJ Hero is failing miserably. Activision needs a good kick in the nads for their crappy shovelware.

  • Hey, it is not many people that Fourhman gives the man crush on. It is an honor and a compliment.
  • Haygood...sorry, I refuse to read your entire Brutal Legend review, as requested. Only because I have little interest and will likely never, ever play this game.

Also, when you do a First 30 for a game in which I have some interest, I promise I'll be there. Top to bottom, full read. Not much for me in this batch, however.

Koss...Nintendo's going to mail you a free copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and possibly a free Wii, next month...just for the explicit purpose of ramming them up your own ass when they sell a gajillion of both. And what's so hard to believe able people buying Wii Fit Plus?! Tons of people have those balance boards. Many are NOT jaded gamers, and they're likely to be excited by the idea of new content for said peripheral.

    Fourhman...'sup?

Also, the text-to-speech for the forums should be in Jordan's Lil' Hayseed Accent (TM).

    :)

    It's only appropriate.

I mean, I'll do the voice work for it, but they gotta pay top dolla to get a voice like this. You know the deal, Aeropause crew; big bills.
  • Get this guy a copy of Wii Music! He's earned it!
  • Wii Music should never be mentioned, even in jest. I would rather see it forgotten in the Elysian Fields of videogame history. Now a copy of Korg DS-10 - I can get behind that.

Yay! My old dog Frisbee broke, so this disc should be a perfect replacement! My two basset hounds will be ecstatic!
  • Get this guy a copy of Nintendogs, too!
  • Jordan_Snyder
    Hey-oh! Now there's something I can use!
  • Hey buddy.
