UK retailers already dropping PSPgo price

The PSPgo has been out for about four days, and… well, Eurogamer is reporting that UK retailers Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, and GAME have already dropped the price of Sony’s new handheld to £199.99, (or about $350). Other retailers have retained the original price, and Sony have announced an 120% sales increase in PSP’s overall, however, sales of the PSPgo only equalled PSP-3000 sales.

    I wonder why, it seems like a really awesome device.

    I odnt think the economy has anything to do with it.

    But there is zero incentive for people who already own a PSP to buy it. The high price tag combined with no UMD conversion will probably be the death of the PSPGo.

    I haven't heard it mentioned yet, so I'm saying it now: What about the Gameboy Micro? Remember that? It was a smaller Gameboy Advance that could not play the original Gameboy, or Gameboy colors and as such has many ways has some of the same shortcomings.
