Topware Interactive announced that they picked up the worldwide publishing rights for Scivelation, a futuristic third person shooter.  The world of Scivelation shows our player in a bleak, oppresive future, where a global dictatorship has left the world destroyed.

Scivelation looks to be a solid, story driven shooter experience, complete with top of the line Unreal Engine 3.0 graphics.  Beyond this, not much else has been said about the game, except that it will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms next year.

While Scivelation has only been announced, I have to say that I am not looking too hyped on this title out of the gate.  The screens make me think Crysis suit meets Fallout 3, with a dash of Timeshift thrown in for good measure.  It just seems a little played out at this point in time.  The title is catchy however.  Hit the jump for screens, a logo along with a press release for Scivelation.

Topware Interactive Unveils Apocalyptic Masterpiece

+++ TopWare Interactive announces that it will be publishing Scivelation, a third person shooter set in a dystopian future, developed by Black Wing Foundation +++

Las Vegas – Dnepropetrovsk, October 9th, 2009. TopWare Interactive has acquired the exclusive worldwide publishing rights to Scivelation, Black Wing Foundation’s ambitious, story driven, action game. Armed with the Unreal III Engine, Scivelation is slated for a mid-2010 release for PC and next-gen consoles. Scivelation will transform the Third-Person Shooter genre into an unrelenting interactive experience, hurling the player into a blockbuster journey, steeped in conflict and veiled in uncertainty.

Set in the distant future, Scivelation’s universe is a world born out of the ashes of conflict and misery. An oppressive global dictatorship, known as the Regime, has risen to power after the aftermath of the Apocalypse; aggressively seeking out and eliminating any opposition to their tyrannical government. With this capricious, dystopian reality as a backdrop, the player will take his or her place amongst the ranks of the resistance, waging war throughout the furthest reaches of the globe in this action-packed battle for freedom and survival.

About TopWare Interactive

For years, TopWare Interactive has developed successful brands, built international presence, and published award winning blockbusters of all genres; manifesting itself as a proverbial “breath of fresh air” in the video game industry. Evidence of this fact can be seen in the successful IPs generated by in-house development studio Reality Pump and other top licenses acquired from external developers. Games such as “Jagged Alliance 2″, “Earth 2160″, and “Two Worlds” are just a few of the award winning box office hits to emerge from this unique and innovative studio.

Being a privately held and financed company and operating without any impeding foreign control, TopWare Interactive is able to make quick decisions and adjustments to adapt to a constantly evolving global marketplace. Currently, the company is the only worldwide, independent Game Publisher with its own in-house development resources, with more than 25 years of entertainment industry experience. Over the years, that experience has given the video game community such innovative milestones as the first CD-ROM (1992), the first DVD-ROM (1997), and the first BD-ROM (2008) containing gaming content.

Beside this, TopWare Interactive is the first German based company appointed as a licensed Publisher by both Microsoft and Sony for their, respective, next gen platforms. This provides for a solid future product portfolio on multiple platforms and distribution channels. Presently, TopWare develops for and publishes on PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3; although, future platforms such as the next gen Xbox and NATAL continue to remain insight. In fact, in the PC sector, TopWare retains a close partnership with Intel, AMD and Nvidia, striving to propel innovation and remain on the cutting-edge of state-of-the-art technology.

Wow, this looks really good… oh wait. It's from the guys who made such “award winning box office hits” as “Two Worlds”. One would think that if you'd made a game as rancid as Two Worlds, you'd want to keep quiet about it. Still, this game looks OK, but you were spot on when you said it looks like Fallout 3 crosseed with Crysis. Hell, even the logo looks like the Crysis logo!
