Ghostwire dev explains a little about DSi-based ghost catching
Nintendo World Report landed an interview with Anders Bergman, producer of the DSi-exclusive ghost catch-and-release game Ghostwire. Bergman hints at how the game will locate ghosts, based on the DSi camera recognizing objects in your immediate vicinity and then attaching a ghost to them. Bergman reveals that the current build of the game has 13 ghosts, but others are in development as either DLC or a full release sequel. Although 13 is a nicely thematic number, it seems sort of low to me… but then again I have no idea what puzzle-solving hoops the game will require to find those 13 ghosts. Here’s the best quote:
NWR: Were you inspired by other ghost-hunting games like Luigi’s Mansion or Fatal Frame?
AB: No.
