I am betting that there will be a code that has to be used to do the import, along with the charge. I doubt the Rock Band to Rock Band 2 honor system will be implemented this time around. And Gamefly only ships the disc unless you buy the game from them. So this route is doubtful, although, not verified.

Wikipedia, the most trusted site on the web. But this actually sounds about right. And I guess this would mean that the rating data must be embedded in the data already. I wondered what would happen if I owned stuff that talked about drug use, etc. Guess this means no White Rabbit in Lego Rock Band.

Going forward, the LEGO Rock Band Music Store will only feature Rock Band DLC that has been cleared for use in the game. All songs available in LEGO Rock Band will be compatible with previous entires in the Rock Band series and can be exporting to these games for $9.99 (800 MSP) along with the use of a unique code included on the game's manual.; 100% of the setlist has been licensed for export back into Rock Band and Rock Band 2.” – from Wikipedia

So it sounds like the in-game LEGO Rock Band store will only show family-friendly tracks from the regular Rock Band store. Not really a separate marketplace, just a filtered one. I would imagine that future DLC releases on PSN will now have to clarify “available for Rock Band” or “available for Rock Band and LEGO Rock Band.”

At the end of the day, it is still going to cost you $60. $50 for the game, and then the $10 for the transfer fee. I do agree that this is a really good set list.

$10 is totally worth it for this track list instead of the $50 or 460 for the full game.

There's a lot of great songs in there that my kids love, but no, we don't need yellow bricks dancing around and singing.
