Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Eurogamer Expo 2009 – Back For More

Eurogamer Expo 2009

After the hugely successful debut event in 2008, the Eurogamer Expo is back – and this year it promises to be even better.

As well as featuring the UK playable debuts of Aliens vs. Predator, Assassin’s Creed II, God of War III, Heavy Rain, Left 4 Dead 2′s Scavenge Mode, Mass Effect 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Red Steel 2 and Split/Second, the four-day event will also be showcasing the very best indie developers in the Indie Arcade, including Introversion and Hello Games. The developer sessions will feature sessions with David Cage (Quantic Dream/Heavy Rain), Chet Faliszek (Valve/Left 4 Dead 2), Paul Wedgwood (Splash Damage/Brink), Guillaume Voghel and Alex Hutchinson (EA Montreal/Army of Two: the 40th Day).

And that’s not all.

Companies like Crytek, Rare, Relentless Software, Starbreeze, Ubisoft and Team 17 have teamed up with the GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair aims to give on-site, professional career advice to students looking to develop careers in the industry, too.

“It’s been nine months in planning but we’re now only a few days from opening the doors to Eurogamer Expo 2009,” said MD of Eurogamer, Rupert Loman. “Judging by the number of emails and calls we’re getting since London sold out, we could have sold twice as many tickets as we made available. This bodes very well for our plans for next year.”

That’s right – unfortunately, both London dates have already sold out, as has the first day in Leeds. And as there’s only a limited number of tickets left on the last remaining day, if you’ve been procrastinating you really need to hurry and book your ticket now before they all disappear. I’ll be in London on the 30 October, popping my expo cherry and wandering around on my own, trying my best not to look desperately out of place … anyone else?
