D&D on Microsoft Surface!

Engadget is reporting that a team of researchers from the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnigie Mellon University has found the best use for Microsoft Surface I’ve yet seen : Dungeons and Dragons!

Watch the video up above, and you’ll see the interesting ways in which the ‘Surfacescapes’ team has implimented the interface. The players control their characters and their characters actions via radial menus on the table, and the DM controls the enemies and suchlike from a separate computer. Just watch it, it’s really awesome.
