Scribblenauts writes up another Toys R Us gift card
OK, so maybe you missed the $10 gift card offer on Bowser’s Inside Story, which was this past Sunday at Toys R Us. It wasn’t that great anyway, as the game retails for $35. (What is this, 2004 pricing? Thanks, Nintendo!) How’s a $15 card sound, riding along with what is already the most talked about DS game of the year, Scribblenauts? Toys R Us is super-serious lately about racking up release day sales, eh? If only they’d LET US KNOW ABOUT THESE DEALS IN ADVANCE.
Tomorrow, and only tomorrow, you can get a $15 gift card with your $30 purchase of Scribblenauts. This puts you in a precarious position, I’m sure. After all, you already preordered the game with Gamestop to get the classy Rooster Hat freebie. Is the Rooster Hat worth $15? Are you scared that Gamestop will tragically run out of Rooster Hats anyway by the time you get there? You have exactly one night to come to terms on this.
In other gaming dealz, TRU has a Buy One Get One Half Off deal on all PS3 Greatest Hits and 360 Platinum titles. Could be a great time to pick up Assassin’s Creed or Metal Gear Solid 4. This offer goes dry 9/19.
And if you’re looking for additional exclusives, the DS release of Naruto Shippuden comes with three free iTunes downloads, presumably of Naruto episodes. And the Wii version of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs comes with a book.. what are the odds it will be the original children’s classic, with which the new CG movie has almost no relation.

I don't think I've bought a game at a retail store in many months. Most of my purchases take place on Amazon. They don't have any great deals on Scribblenauts, but most PS3 and 360 games are at least $5, and that's only on new titles.
