OnLive opens beta program

Some of you may remember the very interesting OnLive from E3 and various other trade shows. The idea was streaming gaming – you pushed forward, the command was sent to a server, and whatever was happening on the other end was sent back your way. They had some intriguing ideas, and it looked fascinating. However, many thought they would just fade away, and nothing would become of them. But no! A post on their blog informs us that they are starting a beta program.
The OnLive founder and CEO Steve Perlman made the post to the company blog. Here’s an extract with some info.
When you sign up for OnLive Beta, you tell us some general information about your ISP, your computer configuration and your location. We use this information to organize Beta testers into test groups so that our engineering team can focus at different times on testing different situations.
You have to be in the USA and over 18, so that’s me out. However, sign-up isn’t over, so if you’re going to do it, tell us what it’s like (unless you’re under NDA). It looks like it has major potential.
