Crazy Apple iPhone/iPod Touch ad on IGN

If I saw this insanely creative ad on IGN I’m not sure if I would close the tab down because it’s so in your face, or sit there and watch it! Well I haven’t seen the ad live yet, but here’s the YouTube clip. Enjoy

Yeah, that's pretty slick. If only the iPod Touch/iPhone game library was worth a damn.

I don't know, Joe. I've spent maybe $25 on the App store for 18-20 games and almost every one of them has been pretty fun.

There was even a month or so where I didn't play anything but what was on my iPod. They're crack games. geoDefense and Flight Control being two of them.

Haha are you serious? There's tons of great playable games! You must not be looking very hard :)

The best games on iPhone are nowhere near the same league as the best games on the DS/PSP. If the DS or PSP showed up with the exact same library as the iPhone, gamers would laugh them out of existence.

The mitigating factor is the price. I'm not saying that the iPhone won't get a few good games, or that it won't get a breakout bonafide hit… but right now, it's a lot of cheapies, weird touchscreen ports, and outright iFart junk. I can spend $30 on Clubhouse Games for DS and probably get a large portion of the iPhone's entire conceptual library, plus I can get EBA, Pokemon, Mario&Luigi, Layton, etc.

Oh I'm not saying I disagree with you there, the iPhone games that work best are more casual due to the technology (although the shaders are improving) and that the iPhone itself is far from being a physical game machine.
