US Government Says No Online Gaming at the South Pole

Sitting down at the US Antartica Program installation at the bottom of the Earth, I can see how you might get bored. I mean it is not like you can hop in the car and go to the mall or the game store. So who wouldn’t want to jump into a game of World of Warcraft and level grind while watching the lightshows outside the window of the observation post.
Well, it seems that there is a limited amount of bandwidth available to the US Antartica Program and the US Government does not want it used on things like P2P or Online gaming, so it seems that all of that is banned. No Unreal Tournament, no streaming Netflix, and now downloading that illicit cam copy of GI Joe that you wanted to see so badly.
So for some, it is a good thing there are still some great single player experiences. Maybe we should send down a few copies of The Thing to pass the time?
