"Its stupid to base hate on something because its not what you want it to be."

You mean like you foaming at the mouth because this article didn't say what you wanted it to? Personally I found this very useful - I've heard next to nothing on the new DLC so this overview was just what I needed. As much as I love Bioware and Mass Effect, I'm not going to give them a free ride - and my money - just because they did stuff in the past that *was* worth it.

Mass Effect is ripe for for universe expanding DLC that I would pay a lot more than 400 points for. Considering it's been out for 2 years, the results have been almost non-existent. You only have to compare with Fallout 3 to see that - Bethesda was rightly slated, and stung, by the Oblivion horse-armour fiasco. People didn't support them over that and Bethesda rapidly changed their mind on what people expect from their DLC.

Hey, if you enjoyed it, so be it. I just feel that for the price of admission, it is not worth it. And six to eight weeks ago, there was a lot of rumbling on Bioware's twitter feed where they were saying get ready for a big DLC announcement, and then said they said it was all shelved, etc. It made it sound like they had a pretty good DLC pack coming, and this pack did not put up to that announcement.

Also, I did not need this pack to go back and enjoy Mass Effect. I have played that game pretty regularly since it came out two years ago. It is played during my lunch break at times on my work laptop. I cannot get enough of the universe and making new combinations in my dialog choices. I have four characters, three of which are level 60. Two of those characters are on their third trip through the Mass Effect universe.

With all of that investment in the series, this DLC did not live up to the brand, nor the previous DLC.

What hype are you talking about? Bioware said barely a thing about this DLC. They didn't hype it one bit. All they ever did was casually mention it a while back. They might have some new awesome DLC planned before the new game, and they might not, but either way I have so far enjoyed putting back in my Mass Effect disc and playing some arena battles. Its not the best DLC ever, but its not a bad one.

Support Good Developers. Like buying Mass Effect on not one, but two platforms. I have supported Bioware time and time again, but I call them like I see them, and it just seems no different than Samuel L. Jackson phoning it in for Deep Blue Sea. For all the hype they gave a month or so ago about DLC, this does not live up to that hype.

I would go so far as to say they put more effort into the Avatar clothing than the DLC. And Bring Down the Sky was 400 Microsoft Loonies, and was leaps and bounds better than Pinnacle Station. If Bioware would have packaged something like that, you would here me singing about how sexy awesome the two Doc's are at Bioware.

I think my issue is that the bar is set so high for Bioware products, and this just does not live up to their normal standard. Valve and Blizzard sit on a pedestal like that, and when the release something that would be good from most developers, it is less than normal for them.

What the hell do you expect for 400 points? If they would have charged 1200 points or something I might agree with you, but its a cheap add-on that gives you a bunch of challenges to go through. It's not a new story add-on, and when they generically talked about it a while ago they said so. Its stupid to base hate on something because its not what you want it to be.

I would love to see some more story expanding DLC, and I am sad that Bioware has not put out as much as I would have liked, but I have no issues with this DLC. The combat in Mass Effect can be a lot of fun, and in a way this add on is kinda like adding on a Horde mode, which is a lot of fun. This DLC could have probably been free, but considering that they produced a game I would have paid 4X retail to play, I have no problem sending them 5 bucks.

If you really liked Mass Effect I would recommend getting the DLC because it is worth a few bucks. No real story, but plenty of fun for a few hours, or more if you really suck.

Do not listen to HIM.....SUPPORT GOOD DEVELOPERS!!!!
