No Elder Scrolls V, chance of Elder Scrolls MMO

Todd Howard, executive director of Bethesda Softworks, best known for the Elder Scrolls series and more recently Fallout 3, gave a speech at Quakecon. In the speech, which according to Big Download was “highly informative and extremely funny”, Howard highlighted the similarities between id and Bethesda, discussed the development of Fallout 3, including mistakes they made during development and their approach to marketing. I would advise a quick look at the aforelinked Big Download article, as they succintly and elegantly round up his speech. At the end, he took questions from the audience, and said that they are working on their next ‘big’ game but are “not talking about it”. He also said that they have no current plans for “Elder Scrolls 5″ but said that “there’s always a chance” of a Elder Scrolls MMO.
