Darkest of Days Demo Hits The PC

Submitted by on August 10, 2009 – 2:27 pm5 Comments

PhantomEFX is relatively new to the gaming world, normally displaying their work inside of casinos rather than your computer screen or Xbox 360.  But PhantomEFX made a choice to move into the computer and console gaming arena with Darkest of Days, an FPS that focuses on time travel to specific points in history to preserve the timeline from criminals that want to change history.

Today we got two new announcements from PhantomEFX.  The first is the trailer above that shows off some of the weapons that you will get to use in Darkest of Days.  The weapons are all authentic recreations of weapons you might have to use at certain points in history.  Using a future based weapon in the past might get some notice from the locals, so you can see the idea of having to use weapons from their specific era.  The other announcement is the release of a demo on the PC.  I am sure a 360 version is on its way, but if you want to check out the demo for Darkest of Days on your PC, head over to Fileplanet for the download.

lol not too sure about this one. I like how they're throwing some WW1 stuff in there, but all these modern day weapons?? Silly.

It's a video game, a FPS video game, what better setting for a FPS than a war, let alone wars all through out history, and the future weapons are to make it sooo much more fun for the player. IF you can't take my word on it there are plenty of demo's out there, I just got done playing it and love it

I am planning on installing the demo tonight and writing up some impressions. I had it downloaded yesterday, but Burn Notice got in the way. Mmmmm, Gabrielle Anwar with a thong sticking out of her skirt.
