I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

Wii owners, I'm not even going to make a joke about this being a port or about the game being two years old, GO OUT AND BUY THIS FREAKING GAME!!!

  • JoeFourhman says:

I guess. I just wonder what the Venn diagram is of “People who own a Wii and no other systems” and “People who would enjoy games like COD4.”

  • mclazyj says:

I would say that Modern Warfare is a pinacle title that should be looked at by Wii gamers. I mean if they thought that Medal of Honor Heroes II was good, they should lust for this one, which is ten times better.

However, good does not mean that it will necessarily sell well.

  • Robert says:

Won't buy it. No interest in that genre. Wouldn't have even read the article if not for the 'Recent Comments' box on the right hand side of the main page.

JoeF, count me in as one of the people who own a Wii and no other systems and has no interest in games like COD14, Halo32 or GoW8.

    Best. Comment. Ever.

“However, good does not mean that it will necessarily sell well.”

But, the fact that it has “Call of Duty” on the box means it will automatically sell millions.

  • JoeFourhman says:

Fair enough. If the port does indeed keep up the quality, than absolutely Wii owners should check it out. It's a hardcore title (undebatable), it just needs to be great.

My position is, if you can't get Wii owners to pay attention to a great game that seems to outwardly appeal to Wii fans (Little King's Story), then you have quite a job to get them to pay attention to a great game in a genre that seems to not appeal to Wii fans.

  • StephenJMunn says:

He's right. Call of Duty sells big numbers on Wii, just like it does everywhere else. It's just that, until now, it's been outsourced last-gen ports.

  • morphiend says:

Um…. maybe you didn't notice, but this one too is an outsourced port. And by the team that nigh every CoD fanatic hates: Treyarch. Many inside the CoD circle consider the Infinity Ward versions to be the only real CoD's and the Treyarch to be nothing but bastardizations of the franchise and an attempt for Activision to cash in on its cow.
