Brütal Legend Soundtrack list leaked & confirmed.

I promise that this post isn’t an excuse to use that header image. Although you do have to admit it looks awesome. Anyway, the other day Kotaku posted a list of songs that they found on the EA Denmark website, and translated. It was since pulled down, and questions have been raised as to whether it was the tracklist. It did look like the sort of thing that would be in a game about heavy metal, with such seminal anthems as 3 Inches of Blood – Destroy The Orcs, Rotting Christ – Ad Notics, and Wrath of Killenstein – Ignisis Dance. Ok, I’m picking the most obscure-sounding examples, but half the bands on there are probably written in a gothic font above a picture of some wolves on a Danish teenager’s t-shirt. Anyway, Tim Schafer recently confirmed the listings to Gamedaily. The tracklist and statement can be found after the jump.
Thanks to Kotaku for both the header image and all the quotes and tracklistings.

Schafer had this to say.
This soundtrack took years to put together as we wanted to represent every genre of Metal, and also have the perfect music for every epic moment in the game. It’s designed to be loved by Metal fans, and for those who are not, it will either convert them or make their heads explode … or both
Emily Ridgeway (Brütal Legend music director), added that the music will “kick your f***ing teeth in.” I’m looking forward to Rocktober.

Awesome.
YES! FINALLY! KMFDM in a game.
Now if they could just make it out onto Rock Band for even more playability.
Did ya ever play ZPC?
Something tells me you'd like it.

I actually recall playing that, probably in a demo form from a PC Gamer CD. I took a bit but the old brain cells recalled the logo from the game. Unfortunately, KMFDM had nothing to do with the game besides providing some inspiration vis-a-vis their album art artist.
It's a must see for fans of BRUTE, so I'm glad you got to see it.
