Are you ready for George Takei in Pain?

After receiving the latest Pain free update (and the free Smooth Jarvis character, provided by Axe via the PlayStation Store this week), I was thumbing through the unlockables screen and noticed GEORGE TAKEI listed as an having unlockable costumes. So clearly, although William Shatner was heavily rumored as a new Pain victim, his Star Trek companion George Takei will be hitting the launcher first. Can’t wait to hear his distinctively awesome voice getting banged around in Pain. Just as with David Hasselhoff, it looks like once you buy Takei, you get the opportunity to unlock two bonus costumes (naked-chest crazy sword Sulu, please?)

I also noticed that two of my $1 DLC characters (Tati and whatever the Christmas girl’s name is) have received free secondary costume options. No idea when that happened, but it is definitely appreciated.

Right beside Takei’s unlockable shadows are two for Andy Dick, but who cares about Andy Dick.

I love the guys at PAINLabs. The constant stream of content for Pain has amazing. Many XBLA and PSN games could learn a thing or two from these guys as they have put a lot of post-launch support and content out there for consumption. Some of it might be priced a bit high, but it is there on a regular basis.
