Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.
This year, we …

Aeropodcast #94: What’s a Voice Mail

Submitted by on August 10, 2009 – 12:03 pm17 Comments

01a0447This week, Koss, Fourhman and Joe get the first voice mail on the show ever.  Well, technically it is the third we have received, but the prank call did not count, and we accidentally deleted the first try at voice mail ever on the show.  Our own resident Aerofan, Jordan Snyder, joins us with a question about the holiday release season, as well as some flamebait for Wii fans.

As for our topic, Fourhman brought to the table, a discussion about avatars and the whole idea of creating a self-image in a virtual world to represent you.  We look at when we first decided to create an image of ourself, as well as where we think the trend came from and where it is going.

We also have a full plate of news, community corner items and site coverage that we hope you will listen into.  If you enjoy the show, make sure to give us a review on iTunes by following the link at the end of this post.  Also, feel free to email us at tips@aeropause.com, hit us up in the forums in the podcast question thread or just call us via the voice mail line at 206-339-8362.  The Aeropodcast is put together by our resident mixologist, Stephen Munn, and features the music of Revolution Void

Nice job Jordan. I really really enjoyed that last bit. lol. The Wii IS for babies.

  • Jordan_Snyder says:

Thanks, haha. I tried to be subtle, and I'm not sure Fourhman got the message. I hope others will send in their own voice mails now. It was really fun!

Hey, did you guys know that the Wii is for babies? Plus, Joe, everyone knows I ignored your articles from E3. Actually, I read it, but I already knew all the stuff in it.

  • The first game I remember really having a blast customizing a character that looked like me was Smackdown for the PS2. Before they got too complicated to just pick up and play, they were awesome in multiplayer if you created a few of your buddies and proceeded to wreck shop on establish WWE Superstars.

Little wrestling man Tony pinning HHH for the title is truly more enjoyable than The Rock pinning HHH for the title.

There was something else you touched on in the show I wanted to say something about, but…I forget. They're too damn long, so I can't remember comments I think of early in the show by the time I'm done listening to them 3 days later.

Here's a tip I learned a long time ago….keep a notepad around at all times. You will never know when you might need it. Trust me. A valuable lesson learned from E3 2007.

Ditto that. My GOD they're long!

Anyways, great as always guys. Even though I'm mentioned in this one …

  • JoeFourhman says:

Yeah. I always kinda hope for no community questions, to keep the length down. Yes, that's right: SCREW THE COMMUNITY.

  • I have yet to submit a question that isn't there to make you uncomfortable, anyway.

  • Vixx says:

    Community schmunity, that's what I say …

  • Vixx says:

*I mean NOT mentioned in this one. Way to proofread, Vik.
