50 Cent in Modern Warfare 2. No, really.

Yes, you heard that right. According to the blog This is 50, Mr Cent (fresh from his skull-pursuing endeavours in the Middle East) will be lending his vocal talents to hotly anticipated shooter Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling confirmed to Kotaku that he would be “one of many squad voices”, and would be saying such memorable things as “Watch your fire,” “Reloading,” “I’m down, get me up!”. I had to pinch myself as well. Halo ODST gets Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk (you may as well call it Halo: Firefly) and MF2 gets 50 Cent. I can’t help but think Infinity Ward pulled the short straw.

Hey, as long as he doesn't have a huge role in the game, I'm fine with it. I just hope he's not one of the important characters like Captain Price, Gaz, Sgt. Griggs, etc.

G-Unit is going to make a surprise visit in the middle of some undisclosed desert-like Mediterranean country on their way to find a jewel encrusted skull.

All kidding aside, I bet we see him as a side character or as the head of a squad you met up with. Maybe he's stranded somewhere and you have to rescue him.

The problem is that while 50 Cent could be a great addition to Modern Warfare, he is a nothing without the G-Unit. I mean who will point out all of those historical factoids if there is no Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks or Whoo Kid around.
