The EVE Elevator Pitch

If anything proves I’m tired of fantasy-themed games, it’s my on-and-off dabbling in Runes of Magic. It borrows heavily from others in its genre, fusing WoW-like grinding and crafting with a Final Fantasy XI style job system, among other borrowed innovations, so you’d think it would have enough to keep me interested. The video tells a short story in just a couple of minutes that ostensibly shows how one little decision can affect the game at large. In the process it talks up some of the most exciting and unique aspects of the game and highlights something bulleted feature lists don’t always convey effectively — that corporations and alliances are vital parts of your user experience.
