I don't get that ref at all. But I think our bitter, vitriolic banter is based in mutual respect.

How can any Aeropause fan not embrace the Snyder?

You're like the bed bugs of this site.

I'm pretty sure I still disagree with most of what you said.

But your hating Natal makes me think I'm supposed to support it, now...

I mean, if I'm going to have motion control, I want the real deal, not just a general wave replacing a button press. Everything they advertised prior to the Wii's launch was 1:1 control, with sword-fighting, tennis, etc. In their videos, they never showed how Wii tennis really worked. Instead of showing the players simply flicking their wrist, they showed someone giving a full tennis serve, as if it was necessary.

Also, the shovelware, waggle, and minigame collections are all tied together by the Wii Remote (sans MotionPlus). First off, you have the waggle. In other words, randomly flailing the Wii Remote around for no reason. The waggle is the cause of the shovelware minigames. There wouldn't be nearly as much of them if developers didn't have access to the Wii Remote's silly gesture-based controls. You're right, they are successful because of the first time gamers (casual gamers), but I think it could have been stopped had Nintendo created the Wii Remote to work as advertised.

Finally, I hate Natal too.

I didn't even hear the term 1:1 until this year. That's a new line of attack from you haters, and I appreciate that you're nitpicking in a sophisticated way.

I wasn't sold on the Wii for perfect 1:1 control. I was sold for motion control, for the quirky, fun style and for Nintendo games. I got all of that day one.

I'm fine with using the adapter to power up the Wiimote. There was only so much they were designed to do, and I won't fault Nintendo for not making them perfect for every application right off the bat.

Shovelware is the result of the Wii's success, not it's controller.

Waggle, to me, means using the Wiimote's features when it's not necessary, or overdoing it just for the sake of using motion control. This is a developer's mistake, not Nintendo's.

Minigame crapfests are the fault of consumers, too.

Wii Sports Resort is really good. I'm sure your soulless Natal version will be just ducky whenever the hell that comes out. Good luck.
