Pepsi Rock Band out of Wii Rock Band codes; check back later

mushroombank You guys know that I have been mad into the Pepsi Rock Band promotion that gets you 200 free Wii Points per cap. I’m coming up on twenty codes cashed in, meaning I can afford “Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord” without even thinking about it. AND the expansion packs.

But when I punched in a code this afternoon, I instead received an apology: “We are in the process of getting more Wii tokens. Please check back later this week to get your token for this song.”

Is the jig up? Did somebody at Pepsi / Harmonix / EA / MTV realize that folks are just enjoying some heavily discounted Wii Points, and maybe not actually turning them into Wii Rock Band DLC?

You can be sure I’ll keep an eye on this. At the moment, if you enter the code and choose a Wii song, the code is kept in your account to be used later… so you do not need to worry about losing code credit.

UPDATE: Wii codes are back. No issues. Even after buying My Life as a Darklord, I still have 2300 points available.

Well, they were back for a couple days in there. But yeah, they seem to be out of Wii codes AGAIN at the moment. Seems like people have totally caught on to the deal here.

Also, this morning I received my very first loss on the free song. Out of 30 codes. And it was at 10am EST, so I don't know what to think about their claims of “only 5000 per day”… must not be the first 5000, but instead a random chance orchestrated to make sure they achieve 5000 by day's end, assuming they even get 5000 plays. Might be better to play the codes in the evening, if the system has to start artificially improving the odds to get up to the 5000 goal.

I also got my first loss this morning around the same time I had 5 points tried entering 3 and lost all 3 times so I am saving my last 2 points for a bit. I hope they get more Wii codes soon.

All this week, I have only been winning about every other time. I guess more of these caps are finally rolling out nationwide, so there's more players and therefore the odds on those 5000 songs just got worse.

Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the net the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people consider worries that they just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
