We’re getting closer! Although Nintendo still won’t do the obvious and directly Wii-mail Animal Crossing: City Folk players about new stuff going in the game, today they posted a new movie to the Nintendo Channel that previews three new Nintendo giveaways.

Naturally, we’ve already missed one of them. The 1980s New Wave flashback Ladder Shades were handed out from June 23 to 30.

Right now (July 4 to 18), you can sign on to receive a minimum-wage-looking Hot Dog Hat.

But the best is reserved for July 20 through August 3: the Dolphin Model. And that’s not referring to a sea-bound mammal, that’s Captain Olimar’s spaceship from the Pikmin franchise. Probably life-size to boot. You know, New Play Control! Pikmin 2 does not yet have an official US release date… but I would not be surprised to learn it will drop sometime around then.
