At this ponit, I don’t know many people that have not played at least one round of Peggle, but if you haven’t Popcap has a new way to convince you to play, with some World of Warcraft flavor no less.

Starting today, Popcap Games has released a standalone version of Peggle, with 10 levels, each dedicated to a World of Warcraft theme.  This is very cool in and of itself, but the cherry on the top of the announcement is that you can get this version of Peggle for free.  Head over to the Peggle WoW website to get your free donwload today.  Check the jump for the full presser.

PopCap Launches All-New, Free, World of Warcraft-Themed Peggle(TM) Levels

SEATTLE, Washington and DUBLIN, July 8/PRNewswire/ — PopCap Games, the leading developer and publisher of casual games, today
announced the immediate availability of ten all-new World of Warcraft-themed
Peggle(TM) levels – available for free at

http://www.popcap.com/promos/pegglewow.

This all-new WoW-themed Peggle mash-up is a stand-alone
version of Peggle, available for free and combining the sights, sounds and
storyline of World of Warcraft with the rainbows and unicorns of everyone’s
favorite peg-popping pastime. It features ten new levels with Peggle masters
Bjorn the Unicorn and Splork with his Space Blast facing off against denizens
of Azeroth in scenes with names like “Too Soon, Executus” and “The Traitor
King” – as well as ten new challenges with titles such as “Phat Lewtz” and
“Pwnyxia.”

T. Carl Kwoh, Associate Producer at PopCap Games, said: PopCap
first brought Peggle to Azeroth in April 2009 and got a great reception from
World of Warcraft players. We were jazzed to team up with Blizzard to make a
World of Warcraft-themed version of Peggle that’s available to everyone for
free.

The WoW-themed Peggle mash-up is a joint collaboration between PopCap
Games and World of Warcraft developer, Blizzard Entertainment.

One of the most critically acclaimed video games of recent
years, Peggle has been downloaded more than 50 million times since its first
introduction in March 2007. The Peggle series – available for PC, Mac, Web,
video iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, 650 models of mobile feature phones and
smartphones, Nintendo DS and Xbox Live Arcade – has garnered more than a
dozen awards from leading industry associations and trade journals.

    I have never played Peggle.

If you had a 360 you could easily play the trial version. Suck it.

You should wait until Microsoft's new motion-based camera game console comes out. I think they're calling it the Xbox Natal, and it'll come with a Peggle demo you steer by tapping your foot.

  • Jordan_Snyder

Is “steer” the right word to use there? Anyways, I can't wait!

A special World of Warcraft edition of Peggle, don't you just love that? I'm certain that Peggle downloads will just blow up because of this joint project. What can you ask for? You can compete against a friend or Duel mode on your computer, quick play levels and you'll definitely enjoy the super-extra-hard challenges.

I'm sure the simple fact that I own a computer means I can play Peggle for free somewhere.

Paraphrasing the words of Seinfeld: “I CHOOSE NOT TO PEGGLE.”

Fourhman, how did you know that no matter how much you bash Microsoft, you can still win me back with Seinfeld quotes? I've seen every episode multiple times and I was only born in '93. In fact, I've already watched one episode of it today. I'm addicted.
