Director’s Cut of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Now Available
After many, many months of complaining by US based fans, CD Projekt has finally released a patch that is considered the Director’s Cut of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.
When The Witcher was first released in Europe, it was a rather raw game, with a fair amount of female nudity in the game, in the form of playing cards that you received when you would bed a female. However, when the game came to the US, Atari felt that there was no way that Americans could possibly handle the sight of bare breasts in a video game, so they decided to grab screenshots of Stephen and censor those cards. Well maybe not with Stephen Munn’s face, but they did censor them with “strategic covering”
With two years past, it seems that America is finally ready for some video game nudity, and the patch will give US players the same game that the European audience has been playing for some time now. Yay. Of course, people could have just imported a European version of the game, but now you don’t have to worry about currency conversion!

In a beautiful, rich game universe, the player takes on the role of renowned monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia, in an epic, action-packed narrative in which his decisions have a major impact on how the story plays out. The Witcher emphasizes story and character development in a vibrant world, while incorporating tactically-deep real-time combat like few games before it.
