Batman: Arkham Asylum Behind the Scenes Trailer
In this new Batman: Arkham Asylum video, the developers take us behind the scenes, showing us one of the new mechanics in the game, the Invisible Predator system. We also get a look at the new weapons that Batman will get to use in the game.
Watching this video, I started to really feel that Rocksteady is starting to understand the way that Batman needs to move in his environment. Hiding in the shadows, dropping in to take out an enemy, only to disappear into the shadows afterwards. Very good stuff.
Also, while not related to Batman, but if you have not watched a Viddler video embed before, you can actually click on the timeline and add your own commentary at points in the video. It is very cool stuff. Just letting the readers know its there.

I think this game is taking the direction of Splinter Cell: Conviction. In the stealth games of old, practicing stealth makes you feel weak instead of an insane bad-ass who is freaking the crap out of the enemy. In both Conviction and Arkham Asylum, you play as someone who stays in the dark and uses it to their advantage. This is exactly what I want from a stealth game.
This game still looks fantastic. Knowing up front that it's single player means they can get fancy with slowing down time a bit in a quick-time-style fashion to help you chain combos together and look really badass — just like Kratos.
I can do without the silly score multiplier in the corner. Makes the game look like a standard crappy brawler, and I dearly hope it is more than that.
