Aeropodcast 88: The Joe Show

Submitted by Joe Haygood on July 1, 2009 – 10:16 amComments

joes_apt_dvdWell, due to a terrible work week for your favorite host, Joe, we did not get a chance to record a most awesome podcast for your listening pleasure.  Yes, we know, we don’t know how you will get through your week without our dulcette tones either, but you must try.

Well, actually, you won’t  because we did record a little something to get your through till the next Aeropodcast.  Joe and Fourhman recorded a short little segment that should be enough to entertain you for a week.

As for what it could be?  Well, I would be lying if I didn’t say that it involved Joe and Fourhman, dramatic reading and possibly a review or two, but don’t take my word for it.  Queue up iTunes, the Zune Marketplace (well at least for a few of you), or even just hit the Podtrac Player, for we are here to entertain you, the fans.

As always, the podcast is mixed by our very own Stephen “Oakenfold” Munn, and we are always backed up by the sounds of Revolution Void.

Download the podcast from here or subscribe to the podcast using one of the services below: Also make sure to review us on iTunes.

  • It was fine. I fit in half of another podcast on the train ride.

Frankly, I think 2 hours is a bit obnoxious. When I see the time at :90, I think, "Oh, they went long. Might be good if it's a decent topic."

When I see 2 HOURS, I think, "They really have to shut the hell up and reign this thing in."

I'm a fan, you know that.

But this is a refreshing change of pace. I didn't much care about the reviews you read (I'd already read Fourhman's Ninjatown thing...and what did Heygood do, again?), but that's beside the point.
  • I thought it was rather amusing to do something like this, but next time I think we should do a reading of a comic book with all of us taking parts to perform. It could be awesome. And make it like one of those play and read books, so when it is time to turn the page we can make a "ding" noise. The idea is full of win.
  • DONE AND DONE.

I guess I'm the only one who really like this format. I wouldn't mind having a short episode like this once a month. I like the long shows too, but sometimes it's just nice to have something to knock out in half an hour.

I like the super-mega-2hour shows, but I didn't mind this one. It was short, sweet, and better than nothing. I wouldn't mind these every once and a while, but definitely not too often. I had fun reading along with Joe Haygood on my iPod with the IGN app.

yeah i like the 2 hour mega shows more also if i want a review i will read it.not listen to it.sorry but it seemed to boring to me maby if it was like the first half hour of the cagcast where it has almost nothing to do with games.and just stupid stuff.

I prefer the super-mega-2hour formalized podcasts!
  • If you guys dig this informal mini-episode, let us know. We were thinking that doing something like this every now and then would be a nice antidote to the super-mega-2-hour formalized podcasts that we usually put together.
