Pokemon Scramble to finally let me personally beat the crap out of them
Here’s a Japanese WiiWare release that we know nothing about: Pokemon Scramble. But let’s watch the trailer and see if we can divine a few things.
Right off, looks like four player co-op in a Robotron-esque arena battle mode. I’m guessing that’s some kind of single-player story mode about a quarter of the way in (man, look at how you get to totally kill pokemon all over the place!) Seems like a clear collecting element after that. The character models look straight out of My Pokemon Ranch. Sideways Remote control scheme… and the ability to save screenshots! Some kind of multiplayer party ranking near the end. And of course it’s out, like, NOW, in Japan for 1500 Wii Points.
Yeah, I want this one pretty badly. Even with no mention on if the game will somehow interact with the DS Pokemon games.

Ugh! What's with all the crappy games when it comes to Pokemon? The only good ones are the main story games, and even they are becoming stale now. Both of the Pokemon games on WiiWare have horrendous graphics; all the models are so polygonal, but none of them are Porygon. I want Game Freak to take a few years and develop a full 3D, third person adventure game about Pokemon. It would be very similar to the DS games, but they could flesh it out so much more on the console.
