Fallout 3: Point Lookout Hits Xbox Live, GFW Marketplace

Hello fellow Wastelanders, if you have already conquered the Capitol Wasteland in Fallout 3, tamed the wilds of The Pitt, and even flushed out the last of the Enclave in Broken Steel, you now have a reason to re-up your tour of duty as Fallout 3: Point Lookout drops for both Xbox 360 and the PC today.
Point Lookout adds a new, fully explorable island for players to investigate, along with new enemies, equipment and, of course, new achievements. The level cap will not be raised with this DLC, but it is offering several hours of new quests and missions.

Looking back now, I've realized something: I didn't like Fallout 3. The only enjoyable part I can remember is watching heads explode. The graphics were bland, the animations were janky, the gameplay was broken (who wants shooting to be based on probability, even in an RPG?), and the story turned out to be “meh,” with no real twists.
I am surprised with the fact that you enjoy Mass Effect so much, but did not care for Fallout 3. I look at them as being fairly similar. About the only difference is that Mass Effect's main story gets strong at the end, while Fallout 3's story starts strong and loses steam at the end of the day.
That said, Fallout 3 gets much props by keeping the game fresh ever six to seven weeks. Mass Effect could learn a thing or two from adding some more DLC on a regular basis.
Everything about Fallout 3 was so drab and dreary. Maybe I just dig the sci-fi setting more. I really hated the gameplay aspects of it.
