Who At The ESA Thought This Was a Good Idea

Okay, to show my age, I remember being shown this video in a computer lab oh so many years ago.  Does anyone here actually remember when games were actually shipped on floppies.  And I love rap music, probably more so than most, but this rap is just horrible.  It actually wants to make me pirate a floppy disk so I will get arrested and spared having to listen to it anymore.

We won’t see any genius PSA like this today, because what the hel rhymes with DVD.

I remember this video as well. And even for then, it was a terrible rap.

And Joe, let me start a little flow:

    Listen to me
    don't burn that DVD
or download it off of BT

Oh man I pirated so much software when I was young. I had the 5 inch disk drive for the Commodore 64 and for one of my Birthdays a neighbor copied tons of games for me. I had like 20 disks full of copied games.

It was so much easier back then, but now I am a perfect angel…:)

I actually had a friend who's parents bought one of those copy cards so you could copy protected discs. He had a hell of a racket going for those that wanted copies of games. Shortly after those hardware boards came out, we started to see code wheels and other devices to assist in copy protection.
