Weekend Gaming Score: A TKO from Tokyo

It would be hard not to be disappointed with this weekend’s take when last weekend’s was so incredible. That said, I now have excellent cartridge-only copies of Contra and Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! for NES. Both function acceptably well on my RetroDuo, but they still make me wish I could figure out how to fix my NES. Contra also confirms for me that yes, Contra 4 is harder than the original. Each game only set me back $2, which is a great price.
I’ll be out for more sales tomorrow, hopefully I’ll find some more good deals.

i know on alot on nes systems there is a 72 pin connector or something that goes out alot and you can find them on ebay for like $5 and just toss it on there if you can solder even a little.also i found resident evil 0 for gamecube recently for $3.complete.
I've done that repair before, and did it on my NES, but it didn't work. I feel like an idiot because I had two systems and did the repair on both of them. I resold the first one on eBay and then couldn't fix the second for myself. I need to grab a multimeter and check all the lines from the connector, but it will probably be slow work that I need to make time for.
Do you get this stuff at Garage sales?!? All the Garage sales in my area only have uncle Joe's underpants for sale.
It's all about volume and timing. A Saturday morning with sunny weather is perfect. Get out there around 9am and drive around the residential areas of your town looking for signs. If you see a handmade sign you can't read, park in front of it and read it. It helps a lot to have a GPS system so you can just key in the address and find your way there. If you see another one on the way, stop and look. Don't just drive by slowly. Usually the things we want are not in plain view, they're in boxes.
