Rag Doll Kung Fu Is Free via Sprint For a Short Time
The good folks over at Sprint are giving PS3 owners a free treat at their expense via the Playstation Store. Right now, if you are in the US (create a US account, wink wink), you can get yourself a free copy of Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic for free.
Rag Doll Kung Fu takes a new spin on the fighting genre, by using exaggerated rag doll physics within a cartoon styled fighting game. Originally designed for the PC via Steam, the game came to the Playstation Store recently.
Check over at the Playstation blog for the full details and make sure to get it before the price goes back up. Also, it looks like Bionic Commando Rearmed might be on sale as well for $4.99.

Yep BC:R is on sale for 5 bucks one week only.
Sprint's got a bunch of other add-ons for NASCAR for free as well. I think their Nextel acquisition got them that sponsorship a while back.
Nice to get freebies. I think the cell companies should duke it out sponsoring free games like this.
Thanks for the tip! I'm trying to go to the Store right now to buy Bionic Commando, but I have to wait for a firmware update. Another one? Ugh.
Got my update last night as I went to bed. It was 'silent' in its release and not much changed. Although, I thought I noticed that the User Agreement was dated June 18. I didn't pay attention long enough to see if it was 2009 or 2008.
$5 for Bionic Commando action is just too good to pass up.
Yeah. Worst firmware update ever for me. Errored out about four times.
Will play Ragdoll Kung Fu for the Trophies. And I greatly enjoy all the bitching on the forums from people who bought the game already and think they deserve something for free as well. Sorry chumps! Somebody's got to lose.
Also, they dropped a Daxter character for Pain, for free.
Had to do a double-take when you mentioned a PC version, because you tickled a vague memory I had of the title “Rag Doll Kung Fu” from a few years ago.
Yep, the first RDKF showed up on PC in 2005, with a retail release in 2006. This PSN version is a sequel, same concept but completely redesigned. Judging from the screenshots, this new one has more of an action figure design vibe than the original.
And I already have three or four of the Trophies. Woo.
