Pepsi And MTV Unite for Rock Band Prizeapalooza

Pepsi and MTV have come together to put in play a new promotion that will award gamers and non-gamers with free Rock Band stuff under the bottlecaps of 20oz and 1 liter bottles of Pepsi branded sodas.  The caps will give people a code that they can enter at www.pepsirockband.com.  On top of the normal prizes, a Rock Band 2 Special Edition bundle will be given away each hour of the contest.

Secondly, MTV is looking to give a set of fans a chance to win a treasured astronaut VMA trophy by entering a video of their band performance in Rock Band.  All fans have to do is select a track from the approved list at www.rockband.com/pepsi and then record the jam session.  To spark up some interest in the contest.  All contestants that submit a video on the first day of the contest (June 2nd) will have a chance to win a chance to play at the Rock Band booth at E3 the next day.

Hope everyone gets in on this one, as it looks like fun.  I just wish it was Coke doing the prize giveaway as I have a brand loyalty that steers me clear of Pepsi products.

  • Sure would like to know what the normal prizes are. What's "Free Rock Band Stuff" entail, Pepsi? 'Cause I want it to be free DLC songs. Not t-shirts.
