Details slim on Trauma Team; sounds suspiciously minigameish

Atlus has announced the latest iteration in the Trauma Center franchise, Trauma Team for Wii. They plan to display the game at E3 with an eye towards a spring 2010 release.

The official press release and officialler website are sparse on details (that’s what E3 is for!) but the gist is that you can play as six doctors, each with a different medical specialty. Which sort of smacks of a multiplayer minigame to me, but like I said, Atlus has released almost nothing about the actual gameplay. The screenshots definitely show some kind of multiplayer, which was introduced in the second Trauma Center Wii game, New Blood. I wish Trauma Center would take a graphical leap forward and present a more realistic operating environment, instead of all these bones-floating-in-the-Matrix screens that you can find after the jump.

All I know is, if you can’t sell a game based on exposed anime midriffs, you’re doing something wrong.
