After some time off from its last iteration, the Red Faction series is back and now a demo has been released on both Xbox 360 and PS3, allowing everyone else that did not pre-order the game to try it out.

Red Faction: Guerrilla has your character Alex Mason, rising up to take on the oppresive government that is running operations on Mars.  The demo will give players one single player level to run through and see how the new GeoMod 2.0 Destruction Engine is capable of doing to enviornments.

The demo can be added to your download queue on Xbox Live by clicking on the following link.  You can download the PS3 version by visiting the Playstation Store on your PS3.   Now word on when the PC demo will be released.

Developed by THQ internal studio Volition, Inc., Red Faction: Guerrilla is a 3rd person, open-world shooter featuring real physics-based destruction, a story-driven single-player campaign and robust multiplayer options. The demo features an action-packed single-player mission introducing the groundbreaking GeoMod^TM 2.0 Destruction Engine, and comes just weeks before the June 2nd launch of Red Faction: Guerrilla.
